川上村の木から伝わる優しさを届けたい
生まれ育った吉野・川上村で、この土地で育まれてきた杉とひのきを使いモノづくりを行っています。
手にとった時に感じる木のやわらかさは、築かれてきた人々の暮らしや、
深く美しい自然、積み重ねてきた歴史が合わさり、懐かしさや温もりを感じさせてくれます。
そんな吉野の木が持つ魅力を、自分なりの表現で伝えたい。
見るだけではなく、触れたり、香りを嗅いだりと楽しんでもらえるように。
誰かの傍らで、優しい気持ちになれる存在であれたら。そんな想いでモノづくりを続けています。
Born and raised in Kawakami Village, Yoshino, I use cedar and cypress that has been raised on this land in my craftsmanship.
The softness of wood that we feel in our hands is a meeting of the lifestyles that people have built up, a deep and beautiful nature,
and the accumulated history that all allow us to feel its nostalgia and warmth.
It is that beauty of Yoshino trees that I want to convey as well as I can.
I want people to enjoy it by not just seeing the wood, but by touching and smelling its aroma as well.
I hope that my works can sit next to someone, as a presence that gives them comfort.
It is with that intention that I continue my craftsmanship.
