吉野杉の面皮で吉野と木を身近に感じてほしい

吉野・下市町の吉野杉専門の製材所に生まれ育つ。
吉野杉の年輪に刀を入れ、一枚一枚手作業で剥きとった面皮を材料に、
アクセサリーや髪飾りなどの小物やオブジェの製作を行っています。
吉野杉の年輪一年分を剥ぎとった面皮は、薄いながらも自然の美しいツヤと強さがあります。
普段の暮らしの中で、なかなか気に触れる機会は少ないかもしれませんが、
面皮のアクセサリーや髪飾りを身につけることで、木や吉野を身近に感じていただけたら嬉しいです。

I was born and raised in a lumber mill that specializes in Yoshino cedar in Shimoichi Town, Yoshino.
I insert my blade into the year rings of Yoshino cedar, turning strips peeled one at a time by hand into material,
and creating accessories, hair items, or other small products or objects.
Though one year of Yoshino cedar rings is very thin, it has a naturally beautiful luster and strength.
We might not have chances to come into contact with trees in our daily lives,
but by wearing these accessories and hair items made from strips of cedar, I hope that you can feel close with trees and Yoshino.
